This shoot was so much fun for me, this little guy is Oliver and he’s actually my neighbour, you might remember him from when he brought me fresh pizza! It was so yummy, thanks Oliver!

Oliver’s mum and dad are also one of my couples that have had to postpone their wedding due to covid, they’re getting married next year, fingers crossed, at the beautiful Abbeywood Estate after originally moving from 2020. So in the meantime it was nice to get Oliver out in the forest for some pictures to document his adorable friendship with Hugo and of course how big he’s getting.

Oliver and Hugo had a whale of a time throwing sticks, jumping and running in my favourite location Delamere Forest in Cheshire for the perfect forest shoot. You all know I love it when people bring their dogs on photoshoots but these two were just a joy to see together, they really are like two peas in a pod. And you all know how much I love Delamere forest (my absolute favourite location for family shoots) which sits right on my doorstep, so it was lovely to get into the forest now that spring is officially here. All of the greenery sprouting through the still beautiful oranges and burnt colours of the ferns makes me excited for summer!

It was also a great opportunity to try out my new 85mm portrait lens, I love it when I get a new toy and I can explore new angles and ways of shooting and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint! I had such a great time with Oliver and his dog on our forest shoot and now we can officially shoot again I’m really looking forward to getting all of my lovely families back out into Delamere and some of my other amazing locations to get some gorgeous family pics.  If you’d like your own family shoot get in touch!
