Delamere Baby Shoot // Ava

Just look at those gorgeous chubby rolls, aren’t they the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen? Meet baby Ava, her mum Nicola who herself is also in the wedding industry as an amazing makeup artist, came to me for some newborn photos to celebrate little Ava arriving in this world. She wanted relaxed, not too posed photos and had been very kindly gifted her photoshoot at her babyshower (what a great baby shower gift!) so we headed out to Delamere forest to get some lovely pictures of Ava with her mum and dad.

I often find that babies and kids take a few minutes to warm up and get used to their surroundings and Ava was no different, starting off the session with a grumpy baby face but ending it with lots of smiles.

Ava’s mum and dad had this to say about Ava’s first photoshoot…

“Ava had just woken up and was in a very serious mood, Me and her dad trying everything to get her to have a smile, Jess was great I didn’t feel the photos were to posy which I loved as I wanted to get more natural looking photos. The photoshoot was relaxed, even when the baby wasn’t playing ball.”

So, if you’re worried about your kids or baby not playing ball don’t be, I’ve got lots of tricks up my sleeve to relax the little ones and make sure it’s a fun experience for you and them. And when you’re having fun, it always translates into the best smiley, happy photos, which is what I love about family shoots, showing the personality of your family in an unposed, natural way. Delamere shoot with baby Ava was a dream!

I can’t wait until Ava can walk and we can take her into the forest again for another photoshoot. I just love watching your families grow.
