Abbeywood Cheshire Photographer // Kerrie & Rowan

Abbeywood Cheshire Photographer covering your Abbeywood estate wedding. What do you do when Corona means your wedding can’t go ahead anymore? Well Kerrie and Rowan were so set on getting married that they moved to the next available date and that just happened to fall on a glorious September day. The sun shone bright for these two and their three children at my favourite venue Abbeywood Estate where they chose to say I do.

Abbeywood Estate, which has been home to the Rowlinson Family since 1987 and comprises a 45 acre estate in the Delamere countryside, was beautifully decorated with gorgeous white flowers and foliage which festooned the outdoor space. I love it when couples can get married outside and the September weather was much better than on their original date, which was a brilliant stroke of luck and meant their guests could stand in the sunshine and watch their favourite people get married. Their wedding was small and intimate, but it was so lovely to see their family around them and great to see Rowan’s parents dialling in from Australia to see the couple say their vows.

I was there from the ceremony up until the meal when the happy couple sat down to eat in the incredibly decorated private dining room. The newlyweds had organised a scavenger hunt complete with disposable cameras and games for the guests to play before I borrowed them for some couple’s pictures and some with their three lovely kids. As well as beautiful décor the cake was incredible, an elegant pink number with Eucalyptus and pampas grass draped around it which matched perfectly to the gorgeous surrounding flowers and foliage.

I’m so glad the sun came out and made Kerrie and Rowan ‘s day extra special. Another example of just how lovely an intimate wedding can be. I can’t wait to be back at Abbeywood again next year, it’s one of my absolute favourites.
