At least Nicki can never forget their wedding anniversary, It’s her birthday! They gathered 30 of their closest friends and family for a smaller more intimate wedding and got married in their local church St John’s in Burwardsley before heading over to their favourite local pub The Pheasant for their wedding meal.

Vince had a lovely surprise waiting for Nicki to take her to the church in the shape of vintage cars for her and her family. Their guests were so welcoming and made me feel like part of the family all day, which was just so nice. I loved that they had a violinist in the church which made for an amazing addition to the ceremony.

The bridesmaids, dressed in a beautiful dusky, pale pink matched the bouquet perfectly and Nicki looked stunning in a gorgeous lace fishtail dress and Vince dapper in a blue suit. After family portraits at the church and just a touch of rain for the confetti we moved on to their local country pub The Pheasant Inn, which sits in the Peckforton Hills and overlooks both Cheshire and North Wales for some first class grub.

Speeches were said outside which was great! Not many have speeches outside unless it’s a fully outdoor wedding, normally a destination wedding! It was really nice to see a break with tradition. So many of the weddings I’ve been to this year have had to mix things up and I love all the new traditions and ways of doing things that people have embraced to keep weddings going ahead. As long as there’s weddings going ahead, I’ll be there to capture those wonderful moments. After all, love wins.
