Liverpool Hope Street Hotel Wedding // Allie & Dean
I really love photographing city centre weddings and this stunning June wedding day in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter at the Hope Street Hotel was a brilliant one! Allie & Dean had a gorgeous intimate affair which made for a very relaxed and loved up vibe, just perfect really.
It’s supposed to be the brides prerogative to be a little late on her wedding day, although on this occasion it wasn’t of the brides making, but more about that later! Allie looked every part the hollywood starlet, breathtaking in a figure hugging stunning fitted gown with swag sleeves and her bridesmaids were beautiful too in pale dusky pink. Allie had chosen to keep the decor classically beautiful, with no fuss just simple elegance with the venue adorned with candles and beautiful pink and white blooms and foliage.
If we were to describe our wedding in three words Dean would say “ Late! but perfect” haha! I would say “ Dream come true” The date we chose didn’t have any particular reason other than this was the first Saturday after the football season was over!
I was so excited to capture Allie and Dean’s day at Hope Street Hotel. They discovered me through Social Media, proof alone that time messing about with Instagram is worth it! ;
I instantly knew that your style would suit us down to the ground! Once we met up to discuss the day we felt like when had known you for years and felt we were in safe hands. The relaxed documentary style is just gorgeous and really captures each moment!
Allie met Dean through mutual friends when they were 17 and 20 years old respectively;
I think it was when I decided to come home from Leeds University to study and finish my course in Liverpool that we knew we wanted to be together. Nearly 10 years later me and Dean were celebrating his 30th in Dubai and Dean got down on one knee at the marina. I’ve never been so shocked in all of my life! Dean said I said ‘NO’ about 10 times in shock, before saying yes!
Both Allie and Dean wanted a day that was classic and timeless, a look and feel that wouldn’t date;
Our venue Hope Street Hotel and the London Carriage Works are so stunning with the gorgeous exposed brick and wood that we didn’t want to go over board with the decorations. The venue looked perfect dressed with flowers and candles. My inspiration for my dress was old Hollywood style and fell in love with my dress instantly! Dean also said he wanted a classic look that wouldn’t date and his suit was absolutely incredible!
The day started with a little bit of a hiccup, when the wedding car to take Allie to Church from the Hope Street Hotel was a little tardy!
I am never later. Ever! And the one thing I didn’t want to do was leave everyone waiting but hey ho I was late! Some people have said 20 minutes and some have said 45 so let’s go with 30! Thank god for Jess who calmed me and my poor dad down and we flew through Liverpool traffic to Hope Street Hotel! As I walked down the aisle one of my best friends said “ Nice of you to show up Allie” and all the stress just went away.
Once I finally saw Dean at the alter I felt calm and the day regained its chilled and relaxed atmosphere! The speeches had everyone is tears from my Dad to Lois and Jonathan. Dean hates public speaking and I was so proud of him I thought it was the perfect speech ❤
Cheese alert!!! Everyone has said how they could feel the love in the air – we thought it was just us! Our intimate wedding at the Hope Street Hotel, with just our closest family and friends allowed us to really spend time with our guests and also each other. It was the perfect day I’m still on cloud 9!
Thank you Jess for everything- we can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us on the day you were an absolute dream! I couldn’t recommend you enough Jess you are amazing!
