Describe your wedding in three words

Emotional, memorable and happy. It is hard to put into words it really was the best day of our lives!

Why you chose the date of wedding (did it have any meaning?)

We chose the date as we wanted to get married outside and we were hopeful August would be a good month for this.

Anything about how you met/proposal story

We met working at M&S together and we have been going out for 10 years. We got engaged on a walk around Tatton park after we had been to the RHS flower show, of course our dog Tilly was with us too!

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

Cottage garden flowers and bright colours. We have always enjoyed visiting stately homes and gardens- these are the places we used to go on ‘dates’ and we still love to visit now especially Chatsworth and Tatton. I (Charlotte) have a huge passion for flowers too!

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

When we finally got to see one another at the ceremony.
When Jess was trying to take a photograph and Tilly started to do ‘zoomies’ around the garden!
When my Grandma was determined to stand up out of her wheelchair to throw confetti.

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

Instagram. We loved your relaxed ‘in the moment’ style as we are quite awkward when we are being photographed and very critical of ourselves!

Wedding song?

Elton John- Your Song sung by Steven Heath

Any advice for couples planning their wedding?

The things you might think will matter e.g. napkins and table signs don’t even cross your mind on the day. It is all about celebrating your love for one another with the people who mean the most.

Are you going on a honeymoon?

Yes. we went to the Maldives and Bali two days after the wedding.

Anything else….

You were perfect Jess! We could not have asked for a nicer more genuine and talented photographer to capture our special day.
