Abbeywood Estate // Laura & Neil
Neil and Laura wanted a relaxed summer wedding with flowers and beautiful gardens, so I was delighted when they told me their wedding venue was Abbeywood Estate in Cheshire. Their gardens are absolutely gorgeous in the summer, and it was how Neil and Laura found me, they’d been looking at pictures taken in the grounds and stumbled across one taken by little old me! It’s one of my favourite Cheshire venues so I love shooting there and I was delighted to find out that Laura was a keen gardener and lover of flowers just like me. It makes weddings extra special for me when I find a connection or shared interest with a bride or groom.
I had my whole little team with me at Neil and Laura’s wedding, Lou, one of my favourite second shooters set off in the morning to capture the groom prep and my husband Chris who was filming all day to make into a highlight film for the couple, accompanied me to bridal prep to get Laura and her bridal team getting ready.
Abbeywood looked stunning, decked out in various hues of pinks and purples and how gorgeous is that light in the conservatory? It was lovely to see everybody enjoying themselves dancing outside as the sun went down. We got some beautiful golden hour shots as the sun set and the whole Jess Yarwood team had an amazing day with Neil and Laura, even if they did get carried away and cut the cake with out us! But never fear, us photographers have always got things under control and we were able to do a second cutting which garnered an even bigger cheer than the first! It’s all part of the craziness of a wedding day!
