Nunsmere Hall // Louisa & Graeme

Louisa and Graeme got married in a lovely church ceremony this summer followed by a reception at one of my favourite local Cheshire wedding venues Nunsmere Hall.

Louisa looked stunning in her lace wedding gown and she and her bridal party were picked up in a vintage, white Bentley to take them to the church where she married Graeme. Church weddings are the ideal time to have a second shooter with me as I can get both the front and the back angles without disturbing the ceremony so it was great to have the option for the couple to have the lovely Charlotte as their second shooter and she got lots of great shots from the back in their ceremony.

After Louisa and Graeme had said their vows, we headed to Nunsmere Hall, a gorgeous Edwardian Hotel surrounded by a Lake and nestled near Delemere Forest. Louisa and Graeme had chosen their theme to be classic and romantic which fitted in perfectly at Nunsmere. Purple, grey and white lanterns hung from the ceiling in the marquee and simple but elegant flowers adorned the tables for the wedding breakfast.

The grounds of Nunsmere Hall were perfect for some family shots and some amazing couples portraits down the tree lined avenues and it gave Louisa and Graeme the chance to escape for a few minutes and enjoy some time alone for the first time as a married couple.

Louisa had incorporated some of her family’s Chinese traditions into the reception such as the custom of toasting the guests of each table whilst shouting the words ‘Yam Seng’, which was a great spontaneous moment in the day. Another tradition which came after the wedding breakfast was the traditional Chinese tea ceremony which meant Graeme brushing up on his Chinese as he greeted Louisa’s relatives and they welcomed him into the family.

Louisa and Graeme had their first dance to Elton John’s ‘Can you feel the love tonight’ from the Lion King after cutting their beautiful flower festooned cake. Thank you so much for having me to your beautiful Nunsmere Hall wedding. I hope you have a ball in your first year as newlyweds, it was a pleasure to capture your day for you!    Jess x
