Choosing a photographer is one of the biggest decisions and investments you’ll make for your wedding day. It’s super important to choose a photographer whose style you love and who you feel you could create a mini friendship with because that’s part of the secret to achieving awesome images and creating a connection with the camera! Feeling relaxed – like you’re with a friend!
Photographing a wedding also requires a range of skills so a good wedding photographer will be able to:
>> Shoot in a variety of lighting conditions (from harsh sunlight, yellow indoor light to dark environments and still be able to make your photos look great!) <<
>> Make your guests feel relaxed (that’s part of how all the awesome candids are captured!) <<
>> Be organised because you really won’t know what time it is on the day <<
>> Create images (if you’ve chosen the right photographer for you) that make you cry, laugh and feel like you are reliving your wedding day over and over every time you look at them <<

I am a full-time Cheshire and North West based wedding photographer covering the whole of the UK and destination. My style is natural and relaxed, I have a passion for un-traditional, un-posed wedding photography. With me there will be no forced smiles, no hour long formal line ups and certainly no cheese! I love to work with laid back, creative couples who enjoy nothing more than being surrounded by loved ones and are ready to party. We will have just enough formal photo’s to please the parents and then the rest will be you having an amazing day! I work with natural light and love real moments, nothing too staged!

“I HATE HAVING MY PICTURE TAKEN” – I hear this a lot and I totally get you! I feel the same way too, I much prefer being the other side of the camera! I think because I feel this way then its easier for me to make you both feel at ease. This time out with the two of you is my favourite part of the day – No awkward posing and certainly no cheese – I only need 15-20 minutes with you, it will be totally relaxed and you just get to spend some alone time together – (and of course with me!)
THE FORMALS – I will capture traditional ‘formal’ shots of close friends and family from a small 8-10 shot list – I will make these as quick and pain free as possible. I send you a form to complete 4 weeks before the day, on there are timings, address’ and other details I require.
STORYTELLING IMAGES – But its the bit in between that tell your own unique story – the bits you miss – the bits that aren’t planned! You’ve chosen your closest friends and family to share the day with and I want to document them too. I don’t work to crazy shot lists or Pinterest boards – my style of photography revolves around genuine moments…. the anticipation, the excitement and the people. Weddings are full of magical moments and these are the best bits! My style really reflects storytelling images that you will treasure forever.
DON’T WORRY – Getting the dress a little bit dirty will show the next day how much fun you had!

PARTY TIME – I love a good party, like REALLY love a party so getting right in on the dance floor in the thick of the action is where you’ll find me in the evening.
EVENING PORTRAITS – After your meal and speeches you’ll be feeling more relaxed…. so we will head out again for 15 minutes for some kick-ass portraits, and if we’re lucky we will get some gorgeous golden sunlight!
I don’t use flash – I just work with the light….my style!
Every moment of your day is covered, from getting ready in the morning until dancing in the evening. I am not there to dictate but to document. And once the cake has been eaten and the dancing shoes are put away, I will present your images to treasure forever.
