Marquee at home. It is said that “home is where the heart is” so why not get married at the place that means the most to you?

Imagine how wonderful it would be to hold your wedding at your house, or your childhood home. Over the years I’ve photographed so many amazing weddings that took place in gardens and on farms all over Cheshire and the North West.

There are so many different options available when it comes to planning to have your wedding on your own land. The choice really is endless and you really can make the day your own and plan it exactly as you’d like.

Why you chose the date of wedding (did it have any meaning?)

We have family across the globe and wanted them all to be there so went for the kids summer holidays!

Anything about how you met/proposal story

We met on night shifts at work and hit it off completely, shared our first kiss in a square in Liverpool and then got engaged there 2 years later!

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

We wanted it to be laid back and fun, like a posh festival! We had to improvise quite a lot (wouldn’t advise planning an outdoor ceremony in the North West!) but honestly it totally paid off and looked incredible on the day.

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

Phoebe: coming down in the tractor to AC/DC. Honestly might be the best moment of my life!

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

We found you on Google and loved your style – we wanted lots of natural photos which you absolutely nailed!

Any advice for couples planning their wedding?

Be prepared to improvise and compromise! It will turn out perfectly on the day.

Are you going on a honeymoon?

Yes! To Borneo – cannot wait to see the orangutans and lie on a beach!
