In the Woods Photography // Fullwood Family

There’s something magical about photographing families in the great outdoors, and my recent session with the Fullwood family in the woods of Cheshire was just that – pure magic.

This gorgeous family of four brought all the energy and love you’d hope for in a relaxed family shoot. With two adventurous young boys leading the way, the woodland setting quickly became their playground. From the very start, there was laughter and connection as they played with sticks, balanced on fallen logs, and took off running along the winding forest paths.

The boys were in their element – climbing, jumping, and wrapping their arms around each other in the way only siblings can. Their bond was heart warming and incredibly natural to capture. One of my favourite moments was seeing them collapse into giggles mid-hug, their joy completely unfiltered.

Mum and Dad were just as brilliant—easy going, affectionate, and up for being involved in front of the camera. Whether it was giving piggyback rides or sharing quiet moments in the dappled sunlight, their love for each other and their children radiated in every frame.

We kept the session fun and spontaneous, allowing space for real moments to unfold. These are the kinds of shoots I adore – where nothing is too posed, and everything is about connection and play.

The Fullwood family reminded me why I love family photography so much: it’s about freezing joy, chaos, love, and togetherness into memories you can hold onto forever.
