Emma and Steve’s wedding at the beautiful Foxtail Barns was bursting with personality, laughter, and heartfelt moments. Their day was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple – full of colour, joy, and a touch of wildflower magic.

A Love Story That Started at Uni

Emma and Steve first met during their university days when they were randomly placed in the same flat during their third year. Fate clearly had a plan – what started as flatmates soon turned into a love story that would lead them to their dream day at Foxtail Barns.

Their first date set the tone for their relationship: a trip to Whipsnade Zoo, where Emma confessed she’d never seen elephants. Years later, elephants would once again play a starring role in their story.

A Proposal Worth Waiting For

Steve had originally planned the perfect proposal at Whipsnade Zoo in September 2022 – but when the Queen passed away, the zoo closed, and his plans had to be postponed. Undeterred, just two days later, Steve reorganised everything and proposed right in front of the elephants, the same place as their very first date. Romantic, thoughtful, and perfectly “them.”

A Day Full of Colour and Fun

Inspired by Emma’s love of lavender and wildflowers, the couple filled Foxtail Barns with blooms and bright tones that reflected their vibrant personalities. Emma’s vision was simple: plan everything she loved, enjoy the process, and make sure the day felt fun for everyone – and it absolutely worked.

The relaxed countryside charm of Foxtail Barns provided the perfect backdrop, blending rustic character with natural beauty. Guests were surrounded by stunning florals, laughter, and the kind of energy that only comes from a truly joyful celebration.

A Memorable (and Funny) Moment

Every wedding has its unforgettable stories – and Emma and Steve’s is one for the books! Right after the confetti toss, Emma bent down to greet their beloved dog, Jaffa, only to lose her balance and take a tumble, landing right on her bum and accidentally breaking the back of her dress! Luckily, her sister and best friend were quick to the rescue, fixing her up while she greeted guests with a big smile and plenty of laughter.

Capturing the Magic

Emma and Steve discovered their photographer through a recommendation – and instantly felt at ease. Jess was described as friendly, easy to work with, and always happy to answer questions. On the day, she captured every moment beautifully — from the big emotions to the small details, and of course, plenty of adorable photos of Jaffa, the true star of the show.

Their Wedding Song

The couple shared their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley, a timeless classic that fit their romantic story perfectly.

Honeymoon Adventures

After their wedding, Emma and Steve jetted off on a mini-moon to France, where they visited a zoo (of course!) to see pandas — a sweet nod to their love of animals. A bigger honeymoon adventure to Thailand is planned for after Christmas.
