It was also the birthday of Becky’s dad

We met on a dating app – turned out we lived only 10 minutes away from each other – thank god we both swiped right!

Your inspiration/style/aspirations for the day

The venue (Abbeywood) provided our inspiration – beautiful gardens, lovely varied spaces, and surrounded by nature – it was a perfect fit for us. We wanted it to be a relaxed and fun day, and the venue was perfect for that.

Memorable/emotional/funny moment on the day

The speeches – Becky surprised the guests with a speech, which was a lovely moment.

Otherwise, our niece and nephew stealing the show!

How did you discover me and why you chose me to photograph the day

Any advice for couples planning their wedding?

Enjoy it! It goes too fast. And practical advice, set up a separate email address for all your wedding admin / spam to go into – helps to keep it all in one place.

Are you going on a honeymoon?

Yes – we had our mini moon at Malvern Hills Lodge (a beautiful place to chill after the big day), and our honeymoon will be a tour of Italy later in the year.

Anything else….

Thank you for the wonderful photos – both you and Lou did a fantastic job and we felt like you were an extension of our wedding party! We can’t stop looking at them and it brings back so many happy memories from the day.

The beautiful Abbeywood Estate and Gardens has to be one of my favourite Cheshire wedding venues. Luckily I live just down the road from it and I get to shoot there many times a year. I’ve also been known to pop in for lunch or a slice of cake quite a lot. It’s pretty much my home from home!

Abbeywood Estate has been home to the Rowlinson family since the 1980s. The 45 acre rural estate is just outside Northwich, right on the edge of Delemere Forest. It is surrounded by stunning Cheshire countryside and has views out over the Utkinton Hills.
