A Woodland Adventure with the Farrington Family

When Rhian described her woodland family shoot in these three simple words, I couldn’t help but smile. Fun. Playful. Content. That’s exactly the kind of experience I aim to create – relaxed, joyful, and full of connection.

This particular shoot was extra special. Rhian had seen my work and mentioned how much she’d love to do one of my woodland sessions. So when I donated a shoot to a charity raffle, fate stepped in – Rhian won! And just like that, we were off to one of my favourite spots: the beautiful Bedworth woodland.

The Session
With two lively boys aged 7 and 2, the forest was the perfect playground. We spent our time exploring, laughing, and letting the kids lead the way through the trees and trails. Rhian said her favourite part of the shoot was how comfortable she felt just being herself with her family. That’s always my goal -capturing you just as you are.

One of the most memorable moments? Watching the boys light up as they explored. Their joy was infectious, and I simply followed along with my camera, capturing their curiosity and play.

The Gallery
When Rhian received her gallery, she told me, “132 without a doubt is my favourite, but I love them all!!!” (That one is a gem – so I made their header image here) The gallery included over 250 images, each one telling its own story. “Never was I expecting to get 250+ images,” Rhian said. “Every image tells a story and will be cherished forever.”

A Little Backstory
Funny enough, Rhian and I first connected when I bought a cake she’d made! After seeing my photography work online, she followed back, and the rest is history. I love how creative worlds collide – whether through a sweet treat or a walk in the woods.
