A Relaxed Marbury Park Adventure with the Painter Family

When Naomi got in touch to book a shoot to celebrate the arrival of their newest little bundle, I knew we were going to create something truly special. With a 4-year-old, a 7-month-old, and their dog Chester in tow, our time together promised a blend of chaos, charm, and carefree moments – and it didn’t disappoint!

Fun, Relaxed, Carefree

Those three words perfectly describe our morning wandering through the woods. We didn’t pose, we didn’t stage – we just walked, chatted, and let the magic unfold naturally. Naomi later shared that even her headstrong little one, Zach, eased into the shoot after just five minutes. There’s something wonderful about letting kids be themselves – it always results in the most authentic, joy-filled photos.

A Stick, a Smile, and a Story

One of the most memorable moments? Zach picked up a stick and absolutely refused to put it down! And honestly, I loved it. That stick became part of the story, part of his cheeky, determined personality. It’s in the shots, and it totally makes the shots. Those candid, perfectly imperfect touches are what make a family session truly unique.

A Favourite Frame

Image number 92 stood out for Naomi – and I have to agree, it’s a beauty. Full of warmth, connection, and that unmistakable bond that only a family shares.

Why Naomi Chose Me

Naomi first discovered my work on Instagram, and I was honoured to capture her family for a second time. In her words:

“Jess does a fantastic job of getting relaxed, carefree shots in a beautiful setting! With a 4 year old, a 7 month old and a dog I wasn’t sure how chaotic the day would be, but Jess knew just how to get the right shots without anyone melting down! I am so happy with our photos and will be recommending Jess to family and friends! She captured the spirit of my boys beautifully and I can’t wait to hang the photos!”

To the Painter Family…

Thank you for trusting me to document this special season in your lives. It was such a fab day, and I’m so thrilled you love your gallery. I can’t wait to see those beautiful photos up on your walls!
