Poppy & Arron – West Tower Wedding

Some weddings stay with you forever – the kind that feel soft, warm, emotional and full of heart.
Poppy and Arron’s day at West Tower was exactly that: unforgettable, magical and perfect in every way.

An Autumn Wedding Dream

These two always knew they wanted an autumn celebration. There’s something so romantic about the soft golden light, crisp air and warm tones of the season – and West Tower was the most beautiful setting for it. The sweeping grounds, the warmth of the venue and the gorgeous views made the perfect backdrop for their day.

How Their Story Began

Poppy and Arron first met while working for the same company. A connection grew, and years later, Arron proposed in the most enchanting setting: a wildflower meadow at the Trentham Monkey Forest. It was peaceful, personal and absolutely them.

A Day Full of Personal Touches

Their wedding décor was a timeless palette of greens and whites with touches of soft pink. Classic, elegant and effortlessly beautiful – and the clean, neutral interiors of West Tower complemented their vision perfectly.

But what made their day truly unique were the personal elements honouring their pets:

Humphrey the dog featured as the star of their table numbers

The cats, Hendricks & Kraken, inspired their signature cocktails-complete with custom stirrers featuring their little faces!

These thoughtful details brought so much personality and made guests smile all day long.

The Ceremony

Their vows were one of the most emotional moments of the day. Heartfelt, raw and deeply meaningful, they had everyone – including me – completely moved. Friends and family commented afterwards about how beautiful and sincere they were.
The ceremony space at West Tower, filled with soft light, made the moment feel even more intimate.

Why They Chose Me

Poppy and Arron had a clear vision of the photography style they wanted. They remembered a friend’s family photoshoot I’d captured and found me again through social media. After scrolling through past weddings, they said they instantly fell in love with the images and knew they wanted me to photograph their day.

Honestly, the sweetest compliment.

The Music That Set the Tone

Their wedding song was “Beautiful Things” (acoustic) by Benson Boone – a stunning and emotional soundtrack to the moment they began their married life.

Words of Wisdom for Other Couples

Their advice to anyone planning:

Be organised

Plan it together

Don’t let the stress take over

Enjoy every moment of the process

Simple, calm and full of truth.

What’s Next for Them

They’re currently in the exciting (and slightly chaotic!) process of selling and buying a home, so the honeymoon will wait until 2026. But they’re taking a little “mini-moon” getaway with their dog in the meantime – which sounds perfectly cosy and romantic.

A Personal Thank You

I have to end with their own words, because they genuinely warmed my heart:

“A massive thank you to Jess for capturing our wedding. She made the whole process so easy and effortless. We never once felt awkward having our photos taken and often didn’t realise we were being photographed.”

Capturing their West Tower wedding was an absolute joy. The laughter, the emotion, the beautiful autumn light and the sweet personal touches – it all came together to create a day that felt so authentically and beautifully them.
