That’s how Chelsea described their shoot – and honestly, that sums it up perfectly. This wasn’t just a family session; it was a little slice of life before the big day. A celebration of love, laughter, and the beautiful chaos that comes with two young boys and a whole lot of personality.
Chelsea and Elliot booked the session to capture some special family memories ahead of their wedding – and what a joy it was to spend the morning with them and their boys. With little ones aged 3 and 1, you can probably imagine that the session was more like a playful adventure than a posed photo shoot (and that’s exactly how I like it!).
The Magic of Letting Go
When asked what stood out most about the session, Chelsea shared how lovely it was to see their son Kai so relaxed in front of the camera. That’s always one of my biggest goals – creating an atmosphere where kids (and parents!) can just be themselves.
One of the most memorable parts? “The boys doing whatever they like the pictures show that!” And honestly, those are the moments that make the best memories – the unplanned, unscripted, joy-filled bits of real family life.

A lovely morning with Jess who made us feel so comfortable (both me and Elliot aren’t fans of pictures!). Jess was great with our children too and made them feel comfortable to be themselves. The pictures are just gorgeous.
