Family photography in the woods // Wooley Family

Meet the Wooleys, I met these guys for their final wedding meeting just before lockdown hit and they’ve since had to postpone their wedding a number of times (I can’t wait to finally shoot their tipi wedding this year/I’ve finally shot their tipi wedding and it was amazing!) so we decided to do a family photography session in the woods as a treat so they had a chance to get used to being in front of the camera and so I could meet their gorgeous kids.

We wandered through the woods, picking little spots to play and stand with the kids to get some lovely, relaxed family shots, that’s what I love about photography, that it can capture all the little moments to keep forever. Which is why it’s a great idea to have a session before your wedding to get used to the camera, after all, you’ll only (hopefully) do it once!

Lots of my families and couples come to me for their photography because of my relaxed, laid back approach. I try and make things as easy as I can for you and that goes for both weddings and family sessions. I’m lead by you and how comfortable you are, I won’t make you do anything you’re not comfortable with. I’ll give you a little help and a bit of a nudge but I won’t arrange you as if you’re posing for a Victorian portrait! It’s important to me that you feel relaxed and I pride myself on that so it was great to see this little family having fun together in the woods.

This family photography in the woods session was perfect to give these guys a taster of what it will be like on the big day and I can’t wait to see them again on their wedding day!
